Tips and Tricks

  • Oil Spray: Don’t forget to spritz the pork chops with olive oil spray while they cook. This helps achieve that golden, crispy finish.
  • Even Breading: Press the crumb mixture onto the pork chops to ensure the breading sticks well and crisps up beautifully.
  • Turn for Even Cooking: Turning the pork chops halfway through ensures they cook evenly and get that perfect golden color on all sides.
  • Rest Time: Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes after cooking. This allows the juices to redistribute, making them extra juicy.

Notes

  1. Crispy Perfection: The recipe is perfect when cornflakes and panko are mixed together to form a crispy crust on the pork chop that’s cooked in an air fryer; this is similar to frying it traditionally but without excessive oil.
  2. Dairy-Free Option: If you don’t want any dairy products, just don’t use Parmesan cheese. It will still taste great!
  3. Batch Cooking: Sometimes if your airfryer isn’t very big, they can only fit one or two pork chops at once, so what I do is put them on the plate and keep them warm inside my oven while the others are cooking.
  4. Egg Alternative: Buttermilk or flax seed can be used as a substitute for eggs if there aren’t any available or one would prefer not to use them. Either way works well with breading, too.
  5. Customize Your Seasonings: If you want more spicy flavoring, feel free! You could add cayenne pepper or smoked paprika instead of regular paprika—whatever suits your taste buds.
